Mr. Paul Marold
Chair
Mr. Marold has 30+ years of professional experience in specialty chemicals and materials businesses with the majority in filtration-related industries. He is a well-known strategic and innovative global leader who delivers sustainable value to shareholders, customers, and employees. He is a C-Level executive with year-after-year success achieving revenue and profit targets in Fortune 100, private-, and mid-tier specialty chemicals and engineered materials industries with demonstrated success in developing and executing winning strategies for business growth. With over 20 years of multi-site, global specialty business leadership with companies like Lydall, Jacob Holm, Clarcor, Buckman, and Ahlstrom, he has become one of the most influential leaders in the global filtration and nonwoven industry. He is a long-standing Board member of INDA (Chairman 2010-2012, 2020). Paul’s specialties include global business strategy, financial and operational leadership, innovation platform development and execution, strategic partnerships, turn-around initiatives, strategic deployment and team alignment, and driving profitable and sustainable growth. Paul is currently Chief Executive Officer, Aeristus, Inc., focusing on developing technology for the filtration, disinfection, and oil & gas industries. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Penn State University and post-graduate work at INSEAD.

Dr. Christine Sun

Dr. Sun, President of the World Filtration Institute, is a globally renowned technical and market expert in the filtration and nonwovens industry. With over 30 years of experience in academia and industry, she has in-depth knowledge of filtration and extensive hands-on expertise in product and business development, evidenced by her contribution of over 100 technical publications and patents in the field. She is also actively involved in the development of many air and liquid filter test standards, such as ASHRAE and ISO. Dr. Sun worked for Freudenberg Filtration Technologies from 2004 to 2011 as an R&D manager and then served as Technology Director for Donaldson Company from 2011 to 2013. She was the Chair of the American Filtration and Separation Society (AFS) from 2016 to 2017 and has received the AFS Fellow Award in 2019, the Sr. Scientist Award in 2012, and the best paper awards from INDA (Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry) in 2008. She serves as an editorial board member for the Journal of Industrial Textiles. Dr. Sun received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and her Executive Certificate from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, USA.

Mr. Richard Lydon

Mr. Lydon is a leading expert in the global filtration & separation industry. He has led and held a number leadership positions at public and private filtration & industrial businesses in a career spanning 33 years. Having both a business and technology background, he has helped companies grow and develop on global platform basis through M&A, VC and PE. He is currently the CEO at Molymem Ltd. Richard has held a number of institutional roles including Visiting Professor, previously at Loughborough University and currently at Leeds University in the UK. He is also Secretariat of The Filtration Society and previously lead this knowledge sharing network. He is also Chair of the External Advisory Board (Materials) at University of Manchester, helping & guiding the next generation of STEM graduates and nurturing potential spin-out businesses in the ESG space across the North West of the UK, where he resides. Mr. Lydon is an influential leader in the global filtration industry, having made significant contributions in promoting professional education and sustainable development. He has held the role of co-chair for the WFI Annual Conference from 2021 to 2023.

Mr. Mike Clark, President, Filtration Solution, Hollingsworth & Vose Co. (USA)
Mr. Clark has 20 years of filtration experience, including air, liquid, transportation, and power genertion. He serves as WFI Advisory Board, INDA Board of Directors. With over two decades of experience in filtration, covering air, liquid, transportation, and power generation, he possesses extensive practical knowledge of various filter media technologies and their applications. His leadership as President of the High Efficiency & Specialty Filtration division from 2009 to 2020 was a period of significant achievements, propelling H&V to become a leader among filter media manufacturers in the global filtration market, renowned for its high-performance and high-quality filter media and application expertise. Mike is passionate about innovation and believes that the global mega-trends supporting health, safety, productivity, and CO2 reduction are major positive forces for the filtration industry. He received B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA.
Dr. Matt O’Sickey, Director of Education & Technical Affairs, INDA (USA)
Dr. O'Sickey is the Director of Education and Technical Affairs at INDA, the Association of the Nonwovens Fabric Industry. He has prior experience leading operations, R&D, marketing, and product management. He has multiple patents, received industry innovation awards, provided innumerable presentations, is a training course instructor, is a contributing columnist for the International Fiber Journal and International Filtration News. He holds a deeply rooted belief that innovation is the result of the intersection of marketing and technology.
Matt is a Chemical Engineer alumnus of Purdue University and Virginia Tech where his studies had heavy emphasis on the processing-structure-property relationships of polymeric materials.
Mr. Martin Klein, SVP, MANN+HUMMEL GmbH, Germany
Mr. Klein is the Senior Vice President of Engineering for Filter Elements and Filtration Materials at MANN+HUMMEL GmbH in Germany. He earned his degree in process engineering from Karlsruhe University. Klein joined MANN+HUMMEL in 2003 as a development engineer, focusing on fuel filter media and elements for the automotive aftermarket. In 2010, he transitioned to the Innovation and Corporate Strategy department, managing both national and international teams. By February 2017, he was appointed Vice President of Cabin Air Filtration. In 2020, Klein took over the global responsibility for filter element engineering overseeing engineering operations across multiple locations, including the U.S., Brazil, Germany, Bosnia, Poland, India, Korea, and China. In April 2024 he assumed his current position in which his is additionally responsible for the RD of Filtration Materials in MANN+HUMMEL.
Mr. Sean O'Reilly, Global SVP HP Sales & Innovation, AAF International (USA)
Mr. O'Reilly stands as a leader in the air filtration industry, currently serving as the Global Senior Vice President of HP Sales & Innovation at AAF International. With a career that spans over four decades, his expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of air filtration systems, including HVAC and cleanroom, as well as bio-safety applications. His role at AAF involves spearheading sales, product management, and development for high purity applications. Sean's vast experience and knowledge have also earned him a prestigious position as a WFI Advisory Board member and a member of the AAF IEQ North American Task Force with the Daikin Group, further solidifying his influence and contribution to the industry. He has multiple patents, which range from advanced cleanroom application products to groundbreaking sensor technology.
Mr. Tobias Zimmer, SVP Public Affairs, Sustainability & Corp. Comm., Sales & Marketing, Camfil, Germany
Mr. Zimmer is the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, Sustainability & Corporate Communication, Sales & Marketing at Camfil GmbH. With over 20 years of experience in the international ventilation industry, he has held various leadership roles at Camfil since joining in 2009. A recognized air filtration expert, he actively contributes to global standardization efforts, serving on multiple working groups for ISO TC142 (Cleaning Equipment for Air and Other Gases), CEN TC195 (Air Filters for General Air Cleaning), and CEN TC156 (Ventilation for Buildings). He is the convenor of WG7 in CEN TC195, focusing on environmental product declarations, and serves as Vice Chairman of PC-Fil at Eurovent Certification. Additionally, he is a member of the WFI Advisory Board and has co-authored several technical guidelines on air filtration and ventilation.
Dr. Cédric Vallet, Head of Business Developmen,, Ahlstrom (France)
Dr. Vallet is the Head of Product Management & Business Development for the Filtration Division at Ahlstrom in France. He received his Ph.D. in 2006 from the University of Rennes (FR) and an Engineering Master’s Degree in Chemistry from ENSCR in 2002. With over 17 years in filtration, he has held key roles in R&D, Sales, and Marketing, focusing on air and liquid filtration for transportation. Dr. Vallet leads global efforts to advance sustainable filtration solutions. A strong advocate for filtration education, he serves on WFI Advisory Board and actively contributes to the WFI education program, driving industry knowledge and innovation.
Ir. Yap Wee Keong, President and Group CEO, MayAir is a distinguished leader in the global filtration industry with over 30 years of experience. Currently, he serves as the President and Group CEO of MayAir. As a testament to his expertise, he holds the title of Registered Professional Engineer in Malaysia (Ir.) and plays a pivotal role as the Deputy Director of the Cleanroom Technology Committee of the China Electronic Society. His professional memberships are equally impressive, including the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Institution of Engineers Malaysia. Academically, Ir. Yap has a Master of Business Administration from Keele University, United Kingdom, and a First-class Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malaya.
Mr. Scott Yaeger, President/CEO, FAST International, Inc.
Mr. Yaeger is President & CEO of FAST International, Inc., with over 40 years of experience in membrane filtration. He has held senior roles in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and General Management at Sartorius, Cuno/3M, Gelman/Pall, and PTI Advanced Filtration/Parker Hannifin. Since 2004, as President of FAST Consulting, LLC, he has supported the development of new membranes, device technologies, and applications for leading filtration companies. A founding Chairman of the American Filtration and Separation Society (AFS), he currently serves on WFI Advisory Board, Board of Directors of the Electrocoat Association (EA) and the Editorial Board of Filtration News. Scott has received the Wells Shoemaker Award (AFS) and Brewer Award (EA) and holds four U.S. patents. He has presented over 400 technical papers across multiple technical societies.
