The Waterloo Filtration Institute is proud to announce the next comprehensive course Air Filtration for Hospitals, July 11, 2023. The course will be led by globally well-known leading expert Dr. Iyad Al-Attar (WFI Strategic Director, Canada) with Mr. Stephen Nicholas (Past NAFA Chair, Filter Services, USA).


This course provides an interaction opportunity to learn from the experts about attaining a sustainable hospital environment where filtration technologies and HVAC maintenance measures can help raise the bar of air quality through appropriate filter selection and installation. This course will also help the audience think beyond patients, staff, and visitors' thermal comfort requirements and investigate the underlying parameters that impact hospitals' Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).


Participants will gain practical knowledge of air filter selection, installation, maintenance, and disposal. In addition, we will delve into the impact of climate and operational conditions on filter performance and the essential role of monitoring air quality for the well-being of patients, healthcare staff, visitors, and the longevity of HVAC equipment. The latest updates in filtration standards, developments, challenges, and future trends for healthcare facilities will also be discussed.
