Air Filtration For Hospitals, Sept. 6

Updated: Aug 27, 2022

Air Filtration for Hospitals We are very excited to have Dr. Iyad Al-Attar, Visiting Academic Fellow in the School of Aerospace, Transport, and Manufacturing at Cranfield University (UK), join us as our distinguished instructor with Mr. Stephen Nicholas, Past President of The National Air Filtration Association (USA) for our next course Air Filtration for Hospitals.

This course gives the audience an understanding of particular hospital air filtration criteria and practices. We will discuss the common contaminants challenging the installed air filters and investigates filter performance, selection, installation, and stages, as well as the processes associated with particle loading and filter clogging.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn how climate and operational conditions influence filter performance and the appropriate maintenance measures required to replace and dispose of a filter. Participants will also gain field knowledge and practical techniques on measuring, monitoring, and managing the air quality needed to protect the health and safety of patients, healthcare workers, and HVAC equipment.

We will also discuss the recent updates on the associated filtration standards, developments, filtration challenges, and future trends for healthcare facilities.

Meltblown Technologies Waterloo Filtration Institute is pleased to complete another informative and comprehensive course this week on Meltblown Technologies by Dr. Christine Sun (President, WFI), Dr. Bryan Haynes (Sr. Technical Director, Kimberly- Clark), and Dr. Gajanan Bhat (Chair Professor, University of Georgia). It provided an in-depth understanding of meltblown process design, charging techniques, nanofiber technologies, and unique advantages of meltblown fabrics for various filtration applications, market updates, new opportunities, and trends for future development. We appreciated many interactive questions from the audience. Thanks to all the participants for an excellent course well received. The video recording is now available here for your convenience.
