EU-Wide Restriction Proposal Addressing PFAS As A Group – State of Play


Join Dr. Frauke Averbeck, Scientific Officer, Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Germany, at the upcoming WFI 2023 Annual Virtual Conference on December 5, 2023. She will provide us the latest update on EU-Wide Restriction Proposal Addressing PFAS As A Group – State of Play.


Dr. Averbeck earned her PhD in chemistry from the University of Goettingen, Germany, in 2005. Since 2008, she has been a member of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) within Division 5, the Federal Office for Chemicals (BfC). The BfC is designated under the German Chemicals Act as the country's competent authority responsible for implementing the European Chemicals Regulation REACH.

Within the "Evaluation of Chemicals and Risk Management" group, Ms. Averbeck plays a pivotal role in coordinating national activities and collaborating with authorities from cooperating Member States (Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway) in the context of the EU-wide PFAS restriction proposal.
