Clarksville, TN, USA (February 28, 2025) – The World Filtration Institute (WFI) is honored to welcome Dr. John McKeon as a distinguished WFI Ambassador. Dr. McKeon’s unique blend of medical expertise, entrepreneurial leadership, and deep commitment to indoor air quality makes him an outstanding addition to WFI’s global network of ambassadors.



As both a former practicing Emergency Room Doctor and the founder and CEO of the Indoor Air Innovation & Research (iAIR) Institute, an organization dedicated to advancing scientific research and innovative solutions in IAQ, Dr. McKeon has played a pivotal role in transforming health-focused approaches to filtration and air management. His journey began with a deep curiosity about the impact of the built environment on people impacted by asthma and allergies, recognizing the critical role that air quality plays in human health.


Understanding the need for a proactive, ‘upstream’ approach to addressing indoor air pollution, he has worked to connect healthcare professionals, construction experts, and interior designers to develop holistic solutions that improve indoor environments. His leadership in developing an international intellectual property portfolio, negotiating complex licensing agreements, and advancing healthcare entrepreneurship further highlights his ability to drive meaningful change in the filtration and air quality sectors.


With a career spanning medicine, research, and business strategy, Dr. McKeon embodies WFI’s mission to foster innovation and global collaboration in filtration and air quality solutions. WFI is proud to have him as an ambassador, championing the importance of clean air and filtration advancements for a healthier future.


Dr. McKeon is a medical entrepreneur who qualified as a doctor from Trinity College Dublin in 1996, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and also holds his United States Medical Licensing exams.
