WFI 2024 Press Release: Celebrating New Records of Excellence

[December 5, 2024] – The World Filtration Institute (WFI) proudly announces the resounding success of its 2024 Annual Virtual Conference, held December 3-4, 2024.


This landmark event brought together global industry leaders, experts, and innovators to tackle the most pressing challenges in filtration and separation. With a record-breaking 500 registrants from 27 countries and the highest-ever number of Product of the Year (POY) Award nominations, WFI 2024 has set a new benchmark for excellence and innovation in the industry.

Celebrating a New Record of Excellence

The theme of WFI 2024, "Sustainable Filtration Solutions for a Cleaner and Healthier World," featured 22 topics across six advanced sessions:


  1. Sustainable Filtration for a Healthier Indoor Environment

  2. Filtration Advances for Emerging Technologies

  3. Innovative Materials and Technologies for Sustainable Filtration

  4. Circular Economy and Sustainable Water Solutions

  5. Regulatory Trends and Standards Updates

  6. Artificial Intelligence in Advanced Filtration Solutions


This year’s conference reached its full capacity of 500 registrants, with live participants from 27 countries, underscoring its global reach and the growing interest in these critical topics. Thanks to our esteemed speakers and session chairs, all 22 topics were delivered seamlessly as scheduled, providing cutting-edge insights, highlighting new developments, and uncovering exciting opportunities.


Recognizing Innovation and Excellence

WFI 2024 received a record-high number of nominations for the Product of the Year (POY) Awards, highlighting groundbreaking innovations driving the industry forward. We deeply appreciate all the submissions, each representing a significant advancement in filtration technology. Among these highly competitive entries, the following products were honored as the 2024 Products of the Year.

2024 Products of the Year:

  • Filter Element: T60-Hydro Coalescing Pocket Filter by Freudenberg Filtration Technologies (Germany)

  • Filter Device: CC X-Series and AirImage 2.0 by Camfil AB (Sweden)

  • Filter Media: Synthetic HEPA/ULPA Media by NFT Purification Technologies (USA)


In addition to the Product of the Year Awards, WFI recognized advancements in Emerging Technologies and Innovative Products.

Innovation Product Awards:

  • NXTNano (USA) for nATUR Biodegradable Air Filter Media;

  • Hengst (Germany) for Blue.ion Ionizing Cabin Air Filter;

  • Hollingsworth & Vose (USA) for PlusZero PFAS-free HEPA media;

  • Freudenberg FT GmbH (Germany) for Chemwatch S Corrosivity Monitor;

  • Ahlstrom (France) for Dual-Layer Filter Media Technology;

  • Flory Technology (China) for Ozone Monitor;

  • MayAir (China) with their Green Visualization system;

  • Freudenberg Apollo FT (China) with Indoor Formaldehyde Adsorption Purification;

  • RePure (USA) for RePure Connected Whole-House Air Purifier. 


Celebrating Excellence: WFI 2024 Class Graduation

The conference concluded with the WFI 2024 Class Graduation Ceremony, where thirty-eight students were honored with the prestigious title of Certified Filtration and Separation Specialists (CFSS).
